'WWE 2K17' DLC news: Legends Pack officially releases today
The long-awaited Legends Pack downloadable content (DLC) for "WWE 2K17" will be available today, Nov. 22, developer 2K has announced.
As the name suggests, the expansion will bring five icons in the World Wrestling Entertainment in the person of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Eddie Guerrero, Sycho Sid and Tatanka.
Their signature moves, attire and entrance music and style will be intact to complete the legendary experience in "WWE 2K17."
The "WWE 2K17" DLC was released last week along with the NXT Enhancement Pack but was quickly taken down. Now, players should be able to purchase it for $8.99. Those who have the Season Pass will be able to get it for free.
Speaking of the NXT Enhancement Pack, the "WWE 2K17" DLC was only available in the NXT Edition of the game and features NXT superstars Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, and Apollo Crews.
In addition to the playable characters, the $9.99 DLC also comes with a 50 percent boost in points while competing at NXT during MyCareer in "WWE 2K17."
In other news, former WCW World Heavyweight champion Big Poppa Pump blasted 2K for being snubbed from "WWE 2K17." He took to Twitter to voice out his complaints.
"Goldberg is featured on WWE's new video game and somehow I'm not in the game," he said, pertaining to his fellow WCW wrestler.
"A handful of guys beat Goldberg... and Brock wasn't one of them...but I'm the only one not in the game," he added.
In a couple more tweets, he said "I would beat that bald-headed bastard in the virtual world also... Goldberg knows this, adding that "maybe Goldberg didn't want me in the game [because] he couldn't handle getting beat in 2 different worlds."
UPROXX pointed out that Big Poppa Pump was not part of "WWE 2K17" presumably because of his history with wrestling including threatening to murder Hulk Hogan.
