It seems like the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is ready to welcome another familiar face to the roster.

If rumors are true, then wrestling legend Bill Goldberg, better known only as Goldberg, may be working his way back to the WWE after resurfacing with the brand in a number of occasions.

Reports suggest that Goldberg's resurgence in the scene may be a way for the fans to get hyped for the coming WWE game, WWE 2K17, as the said superstar is going to be a playable character.

However, the similarities on how he and the Ultimate Warrior were pushed back to the limelight following the addition of their likeness in the game cannot be denied.

Ultimate Warrior was a big part of the marketing in the previous version of the game, which saw him make a comeback briefly and was then inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Goldberg may be walking a similar path, with the first step done as he is one of the most talked-about aspects of the new game developed by 2K Sports.

Furthermore, PW Insider reported that Goldberg will already make his first appearance with the company since leaving in March 2004.

Goldberg will be seen in SummerSlam, and that may easily lead him to some battles inside the squared circle.

Christian Today also reported on the topic, and it is becoming increasingly believable that fans may see one of the biggest wrestling stars show up in a WWE pay-per-view event.

One of the reasons why Goldberg is such a prolific character in the WWE is that he was the biggest superstar in their rival company, World Championship Wrestling.

As WCW challenged the WWE (then World Wrestling Federation or WWF) it was Goldberg and his streak which made WCW relevant during that time.

It remains to be seen just how big of a role Goldberg will play for the company in the coming days.
