WWE rumors 2016: WWE Universal Championship belt design leaked?

The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is continuing its rise towards the "new era" with the separate Raw and SmackDown brands.

While most fans are wondering if SmackDown will ever attain the same level of success that Raw has, the WWE is certainly doing everything they can to make it a reality.

The first of many steps that they took is creating the roster that makes up the "blue side" of the company. John Cena and current WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose are both with the SmackDown label.

That leaves Raw without a championship, but Raw commissioner Stephanie McMahon and general manager Mick Foley revealed that they will be unveiling the WWE Universal Championship title which will be fought for at SummerSlam.

It is now also known that Seth Rollins will fight against Finn Balor at SummerSlam for the said WWE Universal Championship.

Meanwhile, various reports have revealed a possible leaked photo of just what the WWE Universal Championship belt will look like.

In the social website Reddit, the user dvizzle posted a photo of what the belt might look like once it is unveiled. Dubbed as "Da Belt Guy," the user is also known for having insider information in the business and having connections in the industry. The photo shows two belts, one representing SmackDown and the other representing Raw.

The two designs look the same, and these designs are also similar to how the current belts look like. However, the greatest distinction between the two "leaked" designs is the color of the WWE logo's background. The Raw belt has a red background behind the WWE logo, while the SmackDown's background is blue.

This may come as a shock for other people since previous championship title belts looked very different. However, some may understand that the company is trying to keep uniformity, as proven by the similar designs of other title belts.

Despite all of these reports, fans are still anticipating the actual design of the title belt. However, it seems that the only way for fans to know is by following the updates of the WWE.
