Xbox Games with Gold February 2017 free games news update: Microsoft announces titles included in upcoming lineup
Microsoft has recently announced the official game titles which will be made available for free for Xbox Games with Gold subscribers for the month of February.
In celebration of the upcoming Valentine's day, "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" will be made downloadable for free starting on Feb. 1 until Feb. 28 for Xbox One users. The game has been praised for its bright and charming graphics as well as its fast-paced gameplay. Originally, the game is priced at $14.99.
Another video game that is confirmed to be included in the February Games with Gold list is "Project Carts Digital Edition" for the Xbox One. The game, originally priced at $29.99, will be made available from Feb. 16 to March 15. It is acclaimed for being one of the most realistic racing simulation games out in the market.
"Monkey Island 2: Special Edition" is also included in the list, and it is playable on both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One through its Backward Compatibility technology. Available from Feb. 1 to 15, the game originally had a price tag of $9.99.
Finally, the last title included in the list is "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed," in which gamers get to play the secret apprentice of Darth Vader. In the game, players get to use the Force to destroy everything in their path with their character's devastating powers and incredible lightsaber techniques. It will be available for the both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One for free on Feb. 16 to 28.
Games with Gold, since it was launched, has always given its loyal subscribers a mix of brand new releases and classic games. To subscribe, interested gamers will have to pay an annual fee of $59.99 or a monthly fee of $9.99. Those who subscribe get to enjoy as much as $700 worth of perks and special privileges.
In January 2017, the free games made available for Xbox Gold subscribers include "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap," "Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition," "The Cave," and "Rayman Origins."
