Xbox Live Games with Gold update: 'Killer Instinct Season 2: Ultra Edition' is available until Feb. 15
Microsoft will be announcing the lineup of free games for February later this week, but right now, Xbox Live Games with Gold subscribers can download "World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" and "Rayman Origins" until the end of the month. "Killer Instinct Season 2: Ultra Edition" is also available until Feb. 15.
"World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap" is a tower-defense game, which also has a mixture of action role-playing game elements. In the game, players are given the task of building the forts' defenses against a horde of enemies that are out to destroy them.
"Rayman Origins" is a popular side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Ubisoft. The game is playable with up to four players, and players can choose to use either Rayman, Globox, or two Teensies (Green Teensie and Goth Teensie) while they continue to progress in the game.
"Killer Instinct Season 2: Ultra Edition" is a bundle that allows players to unlock a number of characters in the game's second season including Aganos, ARIA, Cinder, Hisako, Kan-Ra, Maya, Omen, Riptor and TJ Combo. The digital Xbox One port of "Killer Instinct 2" is also included as a bonus.
Microsoft has not yet revealed the free games for next month, but fans have already come up with a number of guesses. A report suggests that "Dead Rising 3," "Sniper Elite 3" and "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist" may be part of the list of free games for February.
Meanwhile, ThisGenGaming thinks that "Battlefield: Bad Company" is an obvious choice for next month's free games. The publication points out that Microsoft may add the game next month since "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" was available before in the Games with Gold program.
That's actually a solid list of titles, but it should be noted that these are simply speculations. So, readers are advised to take them with a little pinch of salt.
