Xbox One S release date news 2016: New console to arrive in bundle with 'Halo 5: Guardians?'
The highly anticipated Xbox One S has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet for a few months now. According to the latest reports, the new console from Microsoft will come in a bundle with "Halo 5: Guardians."
The report came from the popular tech leaker, Ekim, who shared the details on its Twitter account, which also suggested that the upcoming gaming system will arrive with 1 TB storage capacity.
WCCFTECH also reported that Microsoft will release the 500GB version as well as the 1 TB this fall. If rumors prove to be true, the "Halo 5: Guardians" bundle will also be expected to arrive during that same time.
The publication also added that Microsoft most likely to release a Gears of War 4 Xbox One S limited edition. This was originally announced by the company during the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016. Although there is no official release date of the bundle, many believe that it will arrive around October, which is in time for the title's initial release date.
Meanwhile, many fans were wondering why Microsoft decided to simultaneously announced the Xbox One S and the Project Scorpio. In a recent Interview with The Guardian, Phil Spencer, Xbox head, explained that the reason why they have done that is because of the players' constant need to upgrade. Apparently, today's gaming technology is moving past and console manufacturers have to catch up to make sure they provide better gaming experience to consumers.
"According to what they're telling us, the consumer expectation is: games and apps had better work even if I upgrade," the Xbox head said.
"We're looking at the console business and asking how do we provide that choice to users? It resonates with them because other devices are doing that."
As of now, fans are still waiting for Microsoft to announce the official release date of the Xbox One S console.
Stay tuned for more news about the upcoming gaming system.
