Xbox Scorpio release date, news, rumors: More hints pointing to earlier release of Project Scorpio

The upcoming Xbox Scorpio is believed to be the biggest gaming console device yet from Microsoft. The company has revealed earlier that the Xbox Project Scorpio will not be too different from the Xbox One and the recently unveiled Xbox One S, although it is likely that this enhanced version of the Xbox One will revolutionize the gaming experience of today's players.

As for the possible release date of the Xbox Scorpio, Microsoft has yet to reveal an exact date for it. However, basing on the latest statements from the Xbox's big boss, Phil Spencer, it is possible that the Xbox Project Scorpio will be finished earlier than the original schedule, allowing the gamers to have the console very early, possibly a bit earlier than the coming holiday.

"I'm in a day-long review of where the team is in Scorpio right now... Amazing progress and we are feeling good about the schedule," stated Spencer in his recent tweet. This is in response to a certain follower asking him about the possibility of the Xbox Scorpio being released earlier.

Spencer already revealed to GameSpot earlier this October that the development of the Xbox Project Scorpio is going "really well," and he even claimed that the company is already "a little ahead of plan" with regards to their scheduled timeline.

"There is a lot of time to go, but we feel good about how the things are coming together," he said. "The teams understand the performance spec that we're building. We went through some of the high-level specs at E3 in the video. And it gives the teams time to make sure that they're targeting that performance for their games."

As reported by iTech Post, many people initially thought that the Xbox Scorpio will be the all-new Xbox Two console, and even now some still believe that the upcoming console will be a completely different model. However, the Xbox Scorpio is expected to be the same Xbox One console, only that the features of the current Xbox model will be further enhanced. Not much has been known regarding the Xbox Scorpio's specs, although is expected to run with latest AMD CPU, giving confidence that this console version will be powerful.
