The list of specifications and features of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 has been leaked and many believe that it won't be long before it is made official.

The specs along with press renders of the still-unannounced smartphone were revealed on the website of Chinese telecom TianYi.

Based on the leak, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 is still getting a 5-inch display but will deliver Full HD screen resolution, which should be miles better than its predecessor's 720p.

A small change is also implemented in the back camera in the form of a second LED flash. It will still have the same 13 megapixels (MP) while the front shooter remains at 5MP.

The listing on TianYi also shows that an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will be under its hood and will be supported by with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB storage, which is the same as the previous iterations.

The battery pack inside the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will reportedly be 4,000mAh, which is actually a tad smaller than the one on its predecessor, which is 4,100mAh.

As far as the design goes, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will still come in three colors—gold, gray and silver. The bezels on the next-generation device are much thinner than those in the Xiaomi Redmi 3, which are already slim.

The placement of the power and volume button is the same, although the back camera itself is now at the top center in the Xiaomi Redmi 4 instead of being in the top right-hand corner.

The pattern design on the back appears to be no more as Xiaomi went with lines running from left to right of the device located at the top and bottom.

The price was also revealed to be CNY 1,300, which should be around $190. As for the release date, the leak suggests it is imminent. Its predecessor had been released January this year so the Xiaomi Redmi 4 might come out the same month next year.
