ZTE ZMAX Pro release date, specs news 2016: Smartphone with impressive specs at $99
The Chinese multinational telecommunications company, ZTE has been making amazing smartphones for quite some time now. The company has been trying to mix it up with other makers in the U.S. smartphone market. The company's current flagship, the ZTE Axon 7, has been going head to head with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge and HTC 10. However, ZTE has decided to release a new device called ZTE ZMAX Pro that is designed to cater the low-end smartphone market.
According to reports, the device will carry a 6-inch TFT LCD with a Gorilla Glass 3. It has 1080 x 1920 pixels full HD display. The device is said to have impressive specifications and features that can match any handset in the market today. What's more impressive is that the smartphone will be available for only $99.
Tech observers are even saying that the device can easily make it in the $200 above category.
Aside from the amazing display feature, the device will run on an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor from Qualcomm with a speed of 1.5 GHz. The powerful processor will be paired with 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone will also carry a 32-GB onboard storage and it will be expandable using a microSD card.
Meanwhile, according to the reports, the ZTE ZMAX Pro will carry a 13-MP primary camera with face detection auto-focus feature. It will also get a 5-MP selfie camera.
The smartphone will run on the latest Android Marshmallow operating system. There is still no report if the device will get the new Android Nougat once the software is available in the market.
Other features of the device include a USB Type-C port, VoLTE, HD Voice and a microSD slot. The handset will also carry a 3400-mAh nonremovable battery. The ZTE ZMAX Pro is a single SIM smartphone capable of 4G connectivity.
