'19 Kids and Counting' news 2016: Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar marriage going through a challenging time?

The marriage of "19 Kids and Counting" stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar is reportedly going through some tension. The maternal and paternal heads of the Duggar family have been through a lot ever since their eldest son, Josh Duggar, got involved in a series of scandals.

According to an unconfirmed report, Josh's controversy may have put strain on the marriage of Jim and Michelle. The couple, who have always been known to be cheery and carefree, are said to be tense lately since Josh returned home after six months of stay in a faith-based rehabilitation center.

One insider, recognized as a family friend, even told Life and Style magazine that Michelle raised her voice to Bob over a certain issue. It's not revealed what the supposed fight was about but it is said that Bob has become a different man now.

"The Jim Bob Michelle fell in love with 32 years ago is very different from the man she knows now. He bears little resemblance to the young man who was filled with hope and happiness," the insider said.

But despite the rumors going around, it is highly unlikely that the Duggar couple would resort to trying to solve their problems with a divorce. The reality TV show family strictly follows their Christian faith. That also explains why Josh's wife, Anna, did not file a divorce from her husband amid the cheating scandal and molestation news. Instead of trying to solve their issues through divorce, the family will try everything in their power to work through their issues, and will also try to lean on their faith to get them through difficult times.

Meanwhile, reports revealed that the Duggar family will be back in the small screen soon. The bunch was able to score another season of their TLC series and it's going to feature again the lives of the Duggar siblings and couples including that of Jill Duggar-Dillard and her husband Derrick Dillard.

"Jill and Jessa: Counting On" has also been renewed for season 2 and will premiere sometime in summer on TLC.
