One of the most anticipated elements of The CW's "Arrow" season 5 is the reunion of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), although according to Amell himself, the upcoming season will be packed with new twists and maybe a new villain.

Oliver and Felicity were already engaged to be married in season 4, but circumstances beyond their control happened that pulled them apart. Now, speculations are rife that the upcoming season would bring a third party to the fold, perhaps to ruin what fans have dubbed as "Olicity."

The actor was recently in Philadelphia for the Wizard World convention, according to Comicbook.com, and while there, he gamely answered questions about the show. Asked whether Oliver and Felicity would ever get married, Amell said he doesn't know. He did say that with Laurel Lance's (Katie Cassidy) death, the relationship had to take a backseat, as more pressing issues need to be addressed.

"I don't know what's gonna happen in season five. I do know that ... I don't believe that they begin season five together, so we'll see where it goes from there," Amell said.

Screen Rant reported that "Arrow" season 5's villain would be a recall of season 1 in many ways. It appears that this villain would take viewers back to some important elements from the early part of the series, things that are necessary to "ground the show," as Amell put it.

The new villain might have a connection with Oliver's Bratva tattoo and might clue viewers in on why he can speak Russian fluently. iDigitalTimes said that season 5's story arc would, in a way, be tied to the first season and could shed light on Ollie's connection to the Bratva.

There are speculations that the villain would be Anatoli Knyazev, or more specifically, his alter ego KGBeast, and if Amell was being forthright about it, fans could expect a new DC vigilante to join the fray in season 5.

"Arrow" season 5 will be returning on The CW this fall. Meanwhile, check out Amell's Wizard World panel interview below.
