It is not a secret that Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" will be packed with superheroes from the whole lore coming together in one giant spectacle. Those characters alone pretty much fill out the casting sheet for the movie plus Josh Brolin's full dive into Thanos. But apart from that, no other actor has been rumored to board the project until now. As it turns out, Peter Dinklage is in talks to join the Russo Brothers (Joe and Anthony) film in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Inside sources tell Variety that the "Game of Thrones" mainstay is currently in negotiations to partake in the cumulative Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Given that production for the seventh season of the juggernaut HBO series has already wrapped up, the timing makes it possible to work on "Infinity War," which principal photography is set to start sometime soon. With this tip, the casting guessing game has officially started with "Deadpool" creator and comic book writer Rob Liefeld. He supposes that Dinklage could be playing Pip who interestingly has a tie-up with the Soul Gem, which is the only remaining Infinity Stone that has yet to make an appearance in the MCU films.

Although Dinklage is no stranger to massive fandom like the one that MCU has, he is also not entirely on foreign grounds in terms of superhero movies particularly Marvel ones. The actor has previously starred in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" as main protagonist Dr. Bolivar Trask, which is a project Fox handles and is separate from the Kevin Feige-helmed one.

Prior to this development, more familiar faces in Zoe Saldana who plays Gamora in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise and Tom Holland who is the brand-new "Spider-Man" confirmed their involvement in separate occasions.

Saldana shares the good news when MTV caught up with her on the red carpet of the Golden Globes over the weekend. "I don't know when they're going to let me read it," she said, referring to the "Infinity War" script. 'I'm not looking forward to the 5 hours of green make up, but every time I finally arrive on set I feel so happy and lucky to be there," she added.

As for Holland, the young actor revealed in an interview with L'Uomo Vogue (via ComicBook.com) that part of his contract with Marvel Studios includes appearing in the upcoming ensemble film on top of the pre-planned three standalone ones.

"The approval for the role in Spider-Man arrives personally also by Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans 'They who convinced the Marvel: the producers wanted to be sure that I was the right person before entrusting three films over the next four years, including Avengers: Infinity War," he spilled.

It can be remembered that late last year, the British thespian candidly revealed that during that time, his involvement with "Infinity War" is still up in the air making fans speculate that he may be sitting out the aforementioned movie. This is further backed up when an extensive cast list made its way online in which his name was noticeably absent.

With a continued growing cast, it will be curious how the overall story of "Avengers: Infinity War" will be able to service all characters without over-cramming the flick too much. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
