'Battlefield 1' news 2016: Latest trailer reveals new pilot classes and tanks

EA DICE's upcoming World War 1-themed first-person shooter game released its latest teaser video. Gamers anxiously waiting for "Battlefield 1" saw how big this open-world action treat is going to be. The video shows heavily armed forces with old-fashioned weapons and huge air and land vehicles.

As recapped by iDigital Times, the latest "Battlefield 1" trailer reveals the vehicles that the players will encounter in the great war. There are several heavily plated vehicles, tanks and fighter planes that date back to the early 1900's. Nevertheless, these vehicles have the capacity to obliterate its opponent's units with ease.

The online publication reported that the air units featured in the "Battlefield 1" trailer are rare and only appeared in the World War 1 era. These aircrafts include jet fighters, twin seaters and bombers. Each of these units sports unique physics that resemble how the actual aircrafts moved and attacked back in the day.

As for the land units of "Battlefield 1," the latest trailer previewed the new tank operators and fighter class for soldiers. However, the video only showed these different soldier types in action and no further descriptions were given. EA DICE teased that the tank operator and fighter pilot are designed to match the land vehicles they operate.

Earlier, the weaponry to be featured in the game was teased by EA DICE's lead weapon designer, Julian Schimek. He revealed that his team is extremely hands-on to highlight the weapon's specialized features, according to an interview published on the game's official website. 

 "To get the most out of them (weapons), you have to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses, and use the right one in the right situation. Putting your weapon to good use will feel more rewarding than ever before," said Schimek.

Meanwhile, according to the latest post in the Battlefield website, the open beta period for "Battlefield 1" in PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms will start on Aug. 31. Prior to the actual release of the game in October, those gamers who can't wait to try out the old school warfare of the new "Battlefield" sequel can now sign up to get the code. This code will be used to access the beta once it goes live.
