"Fantastic Four" actor Michael B. Jordan has confirmed that he will be in the upcoming "Black Panther" stand-alone film.

Rumors have been swirling for months that Jordan is set to play the villain in the Marvel solo film, but it wasn't until an appearance at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Saturday, June 4, that the actor spoke definitively about his involvement in "Black Panther."

"I'm super excited, especially to put a different spin on it," Jordan told The Hollywood Reporter at the event. "I'm looking forward to working with Ryan [Coogler] once again. It's gonna be a good time."

Jordan worked with Coogler in the critically-acclaimed sports drama "Creed" in 2015.

During the interview with THR, Jordan also revealed that he can't wait to work with Lupita Nyong'o and Chadwick Boseman in "Black Panther," essentially confirming that the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actress will also be appearing in the film.

Nyong'o is rumored to play T'Challa/Black Panther's love interest in the upcoming stand-alone film. Last month, THR reported that the Oscar winner was in talks to star opposite Boseman in "Black Panther."

Meanwhile, "Captain America" star Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, is rumored to reunite with Boseman in the not-too-distant future. As Marvel fans know, the mid-credits scene of "Captain America: Civil War" showed Bucky, Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), and T'Challa/Black Panther at a high-tech facility in Wakanda. Bucky has just decided to go back under the ice until someone figures out how to reverse the Hydra brainwashing that turned him into a ruthless killer. At the end of that sequence, Cap warned T'Challa that people will eventually figure out where Bucky is and will be coming for him.

"Let them try," the new king of Wakanda said.

During a recent appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia, Stan spoke about the possibility of Bucky appearing in "Black Panther." With his "Civil War" co-stars Evans and Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon) telling him to "be careful" and that he might "break the internet," Stan offered some hesitant answers about a possible Bucky cameo.

"I don't know, man," the actor said, as quoted by Slash Film. "I mean, there's obviously a very clear answer, but I'm not going to maybe say it, now. Where did he end up at the end of the movie? That's the movie he should be in, I think. I feel like that would be the natural... but I don't know. I don't know anything."

"Black Panther" hits theaters Feb. 16, 2018.
