'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' chapter 3 spoilers: Fans predict return of Chuunin exams

Fans predict that upcoming third chapter of the manga series "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is going to cover Boruto and his friends undertaking the Chuunin exam. The Chuunin exam, in the world of Naruto, is said to be one of the toughest exams that a ninja will face, because one cannot hope to become a full-fledged ninja if they cannot ace the exam.

The last chapter has Boruto trying to master the use of the Rasengan, which is his father Naruto's signature technique. By mastering the Rasengan, he hopes to become disciple to his father's old rival, Sasuke Uchiha. Boruto eventually progresses faster than Naruto when it comes to the technique's mastery because a mysterious person in the village hands him technology that would make mastering the technique easier. He shows his progress to Sasuke, and Sasuke takes him on as his apprentice.

The chapter ends with Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki confirming their participation in the Chuunin exams. Meanwhile, Killer Bee, the "eight tails" jinchuuriki, is defeated by the mysterious duo of Momoshiki and Kinshiki, who confirm that their next target will be the leader of the leaf village, Hokage Naruto Uzumaki.

Fans of the original Naruto will remember the Chuunin exams to be one of the most memorable arcs in the series; it was the arc that started highlighting the different fighting styles of the ninjas in the Naruto Universe. Fans have also pointed out that the exams were sorely missing in the "Boruto" movie.

The exam is split into three parts. First is the written exam, where students are actually encouraged to cheat. The true test is the ability of each of the students to hide their cheating from the teachers. The second is a scavenger hunt in a (dangerous) ancient forest, and the third is a randomized one-on-one battle with students from the other villages. One of the most notable fights during the previous Chuunin exam was between Rock Lee and Gaara, with Lee using only Taijutsu to face off against Gaara's mysterious sand jutsu.
