'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC 3 release date 2016: Expansion pack to arrive June after E3, DLC to be announced during the event

The third downloadable content (DLC) for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will reportedly be released after the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event scheduled in the second week of June.

However, Gotta Be Mobile suggests that the DLC has all along been planned out for a June launch. However, since Activision will focus on "Call of Duty: Infinity Warfare" at the event, the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3 release will either fall before or after the three-day convention.

Conversely, an E3 appearance may still be possible. Although the presentation will mainly be about the new "Call of Duty" title (gameplay footage is expected), a teaser for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3 is rumored to be shown.

A week or two after the E3 appearance should be the perfect time for the new "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC to be released. With this schedule at play, a possible launch falls around June 21 at the earliest. That's only for the PlayStation 4 players, of course.

With Sony's exclusivity deal with Activision still in effect, PS4 players get the privilege of a 30-day early access before everyone else in the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" gets their turn.

While "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3 will be here as early as next month, the experience won't come to the Xbox One and personal computer (PC) until July.

After all that, the focus will then be set to "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" (releasing November) while gamers get to explore the new expansion pack as they wait for the new title.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" DLC 3 is a follow-up to the Eclipse DLC, which was initially released in the PS4 last April and was just released a couple of weeks ago.

DLC 3 is expected to come with four new maps (one a remake of a classic "Call of Duty" location) and a brand new chapter of the Zombie mode.
