Long-time Marvel comic book fans have always wanted to see Spider-Man working with other popular Marvel heroes like Captain America and Iron Man. A glimmer of hope was finally seen when Sony Entertainment, the studio that currently owns the Spider-Man movie franchise, has finally signed a deal with Marvel Studios to finally introduce the web-slinging superhero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). His first stint the MCU will be in "Captain America: Civil War" where the recent trailer shows him in action with the Avengers. However, those who are expecting Spider-Man or Peter Parker to only have a cameo role in the movie will be pleased to know that the web crawler is having 30 minutes of screen time, more than enough for a cameo appearance.

The exciting news first came from ScreenCrush Editor Mike Sampson, who was among the first batch to watch the early screening of "Captain America: Civil War."  He confirmed that Spider-man's appearance in the film will be around 30 minutes long, and even went on to describe his role as "pretty significant."

A fan took on Twitter to confirm to Sampson whether Spider-Man would indeed get 30 minutes of exposure as a whole. Sampson tweeted back to the curious fan and revealed that there will be 10 minutes of screen time for Peter Parker, and another 20 minutes for the fully-costumed Spidey.

However, Sampson did not disclose any additional information about Spider-Man's role and the movie as a whole due to Marvel Entertainment implementing an embargo on early reviews and spoilers being released until April 13, Technobuffalo reported. Although, Sampson added in his tweets that Spider-Man is a show-stealer among the Marvel superheroes present in the movie.

More details about Spider-Man were shared by "Captain America: Civil War" directors Joe and Anthony Russo in an interview with Forbes. Joe gave an assurance to the huge Spidey fans that they will be very entertained to see the superhero and his web-slinging action in the movie. He revealed that Spider-Man will have a "very interesting" role to play. Anthony also agreed that Spidey will be injecting elements to the film and make it more fun.

"Part of the fun of Spider-Man is that this film is basically a war amongst the Avengers and Spidey does not have the baggage that all these other characters have," he said.
