The Chicago Bulls were recently involved in a deal that got them yet another guard in their line-up. However, rumor has it that it may be only one of a number of calculated moves to help strengthen the club this season.

In a surprise move, the Bulls pulled off a trade that sent Tony Snell to the Milwaukee Bucks for Michael Carter-Williams.

However, there are talks saying that the move may eventually end up with the Bulls getting a chance to pick up DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings.

If the rumors are true, then it would be big news for the Bulls as they try to get back as strong contenders in the Eastern Conference.

The Bulls lost a lot of pieces this summer, notably Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose as they were sent to the New York Knicks. However, they did pick up some key players in the off-season, with Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade as the biggest acquisitions so far.

The addition of Carter-Williams has given the Bulls a lot of point guards, and it is likely that one of them will be on the move as Chicago tries to get Cousins. One of those is Jerian Grant who came in from the Knicks in the trade.

Grant is still young and could seemingly have an upside, but he is battling Rondo, Carter-Williams, Spencer Dinwiddie and Isaiah Canaan for spots and it is one that he may not win.

This results in talks that the Bulls may package some of the young guards, maybe even including Carter-Williams, along with a forward like Nikola Mirotic to push the Kings to a trade for Cousins.

If that is not enough, the Bulls may include a third team that is short on guards and can let go of players that the Kings are willing to trade Cousins for.

There are a lot of scenarios in play but it seems that the Bulls are up to something as they try to strengthen the squad for the 2016-17 season.
