This will lead Dr. Charles' (Oliver Platt) daughter Robyn (guest star Mekia Cox), an epidemiologist, to be enlisted to help find the common link between the cases.
Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell), on the other hand, will work on an elderly man who is discovered to be very ill. A conflict will arise between his son and his young girlfriend as they argue about the best way to treat him. Gehlfuss, who plays the role of Dr. Will Halstead in the series, recently caught up with Michigan Avenue and shared interesting details about the succeeding episodes of season 2. According to the actor, viewers should look forward to stories that will take the cast of characters outside the hospital's walls.
"Well, they can expect [the show to] continue to deal with controversial issues in medicine, while diving more into the personal lives of these characters," he said. "We're going to have a nice balance between the medicine and characters this season. We're going to be getting out of the hospital quite a bit. So, we'll be exploring Chicago through our stories with the characters and the medicine."
The second season of "Chicago Med" airs every Thursday night at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
