The fate of drama-horror television series "Constantine" did not end up so well after season 1. Its home network, NBC, chose not to renew the show for season 2.

Reports stated that several of its fans were disappointed with its cancellation despite the good reviews it received and its reasonable cult following. Aside from the poor ratings, there was no definite explanation why the show had to live so short. Nonetheless, fans were not shy to hide the fact that they want the show back.

Reports claimed that the series could potentially return to the small screen. NBC did not make any announcement though but The CW is currently rumored to be the one picking up the show to continue the story. It's not far from happening since The CW is more famous for its superhero series like "Arrow," "The Legends of Tomorrow," and "The Flash."

Also, Matt Ryan, who played the main role John Constantine, appeared in one of the episodes in "Arrow" season 4. That particular episode drew the fans' attention to Ryan's character when he came to Star City to offer help to Oliver in restoring Sara's soul right after she came back from the dead through the Lazarus Pit.

His appearance in "Arrow" sparked rumors that "Constantine" will join The CW network and it's making a lot of sense considering the connection of the storylines. Aside from that, CW Seed started streaming the first season of the cancelled NBC show suggesting that it's going to come to the network. But could it even be enough reason for the network to give the show a new home?

It seems like it's not sufficient after "Constantine" showrunner Daniel Cerone addressed the rumors via his Twitter account. He wrote that The CW and CW Seed are not directly connected to each other, which means that there are still no plans to revive the series.

Fans will have to keep crossing their fingers that "Constantine" will get another try.
