"Dance Moms" season 7 may be well underway, but the fate of the hit Lifetime reality series continues to be up in the air as dance coach Abby Lee Miller continues to deal with her court cases.

However, thanks to a "scheduling conflict," the sentencing, which is set Dec. 2, 2016, was once again delayed to Jan. 20, 2017, an extension that Miller's team did not pursue, but plays on their benefit.

"Due to a scheduling conflict, government counsel is unavailable on that date [Dec. 2]…the Government respectfully requests that the sentencing date be continued until Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at a time convenient for the court," U.S. Attorney David Hickton said in a document.

This means that Miller will still very much be around for the production of "Dance Moms" season 7. The first nine episodes of the season have already been filmed and the delay allows the reality star to appear in the future episodes.

Miller, along with the talented dancers of the Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) and their mothers, films a brand new episode every week, and thanks to the postponement of the sentencing so she will be able to be part of at least 10 episodes without having to worry about the sentencing.

However, if it all goes south for Miller, she might no longer be able to be part of the episodes of "Dance Moms" season 7 after that or worse, the show will stop production.

The dance instructor is facing potentially five years in jail and $5 million in fines after being indicted last year on 20 counts of fraud and another charge for violating currency reporting laws.

The delay would mean that she will be there in the first half of the "Dance Moms" season 7. It is unknown if the show will continue without her.

The show addresses her legal issues especially in the recent episodes of "Dance Moms" season 6, where she is confronted by the possibility that she might be forced to sell ALDC and the moms are all for Debbie Allen taking over.

For now, "Dance Moms" season 7 is still on the table. Fans will hear more about the show's fate when Miller's sentencing arrives next year.
