Fans of Form Software's horror-action series "Dark Souls" are in for a treat as there are two expansion DLC packs coming their way, and the first one is said to be arriving this August.

According to Game N Guide, early speculations about the first DLC's release has the expansion coming out this coming September, so fans would be happy that they will be getting the DLC a month earlier than that.

In an interview with Kotaku, Form Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki said that he is currently working on "Bloodborne" and the "Dark Souls" expansions, so he is really quite busy. At the same time, however, he is happy to have the work and says that he has to time to "feel hollow."

When asked about the "Dark Souls" expansions, he said, "I'm not sure I can provide 'information' without spilling the 'surprise' [laughs]. The only thing I can say now is that we're planning two DLCs for 'Dark Souls 3.' The first is scheduled for release in autumn of 2016, and the second is scheduled for early 2017. We're actually still working on the first one. Content-wise, it builds off of the previous titles and will be featuring a new area, enemies, gear, and story. The game story revolves around a new location which I believe will offer a different feel from 'Dark Souls 3.' Please stay tuned!"

"Dark Souls III" is one of the most anticipated games to come out this year and it currently sits on a 9.5/10 rating on IGN and an 89% score on Metacritic. It's an action role-playing game with a medieval fantasy setting and is famously known for being incredibly hard to beat.

Players can expect the first of the "Dark Souls III" DLC expansions to arrive sometime this August. The second one is set to come out early next year.
