It appears that the upcoming Marvel feature film, "Doctor Strange," will be introducing another powerful Infinity Stone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). A prequel comic book that will lay the groundwork for "Doctor Strange" is reported to hint at a powerful artifact as one of the six Infinity gems in the whole universe.

The Comic Book Resources reported that the new Infinity Stone, expected to be the Time Stone, will be introduced in "Doctor Strange." The Time Stone is also said to be included in the prequel comic book for the Marvel film, narrating how this extraordinary source of power caused the series of turmoil that would later on set up the events in "Doctor Strange." The prequel comics features Kaecilius, which will be played by Mads Mikkelsen in the movie. Aside from Kaecilius, three other mystics are going to be involved in the hunt for the Time Stone, which is believed by many to be known as the Eye of Agamotto.

In the comics, the Eye of Agamotto was stolen by a mysterious woman in the British Museum, but Kaecilius and the mystics followed her to take the magical artifact back. The woman might have actually taken one of the six powerful Infinity Stones in the galaxy that has the capacity the shift and bend time according to the user's will.

Later on, the mystics would be successful in taking back the Eye of Agamotto, placing it in safe keeping at the Sanctum Sanctorum. Many feared that the Eye of Agamotto would be used again for the wrong reasons, as the mystic who became the owner of the artifact had once abused its power for his own selfish gain. However, Kaecilius seems to be after its power as well, and his selfishness would eventually cause the chain of events in "Doctor Strange," coming to theaters on Nov. 4.

British actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing the role of the Sorcerer Supreme. Also starring in the film is Chiwetel Ejiofor, who will play the sorcerer rival of Stephen Vincent Strange.
