'Dragon Ball Super' episode 50 spoilers news 2016: Black Goku's cover blown?

The identity of Black Goku is investigated in the continuation of the Future Trunks saga in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 50 titled "Goku vs. Black Goku! The Path to the Sealed Future."

A preview by Weekly Shonen Jump teased that Beerus and Whis will take notice of what Black Goku is wearing. The two become aware that the Goku's evil double is wearing a Time Ring.

In the "Dragon Ball" universe, the Time Ring is exclusive to Supreme Kais. This is why Beerus and Whis start to wonder in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 50 who Black Goku really is.

Black Goku used the Time Ring to get to the present time where Future Trunks went to as well as where the heroes are. Using this ring, he basically creates a portal to any timeline he wants and uses it as a way to get there.

Speculations have it that Black Goku might be a Supreme Kai and an evil one at that. Another obvious giveaway is the Potara earrings that only Supreme Kais are allowed to wear.

In "Dragon Ball Super" season 50, Whis and Beerus could be close to unraveling who Black Goku really is. However, it remains a mystery if they will immediately act on what they noticed.

It appears that despite this observation, fans won't learn much about who Black Goku really is in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 50.

If the leaked titles for upcoming episodes are anything to go by, fans will have to wait for episode 53 titled "Black Goku's Identity Revealed" to learn who this monster is.

Meanwhile, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 50 will also feature a fight between Goku and Black Goku. However, the latter won't take the battle seriously.

This disappoints Goku since he knows his opponent is incredibly strong. Despite this, rumor has it that in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 50, Black Goku will still do enormous damage.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 50 "Goku vs. Goku Black! The Path to the Sealed Future" will air Sunday, July 3 at 9:30 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
