Eminem new album 2016 release date news & update: New album titled 'Root' to launch before 2017

Fans of rap legend Eminem have been waiting and hoping for a new album to launch. However, the rapper has yet to tease any details or reveal anything concrete about his project. Though little is known about the alleged album, reports suggest that the compilation will be titled "Root."

According to reports, "Root" will consist of 12 new tracks.

It's been roughly three years since Eminem dropped a new album. Though rumors suggest that the rapper is creating something that could potentially be an album, Eminem is reportedly facing a few issues which have caused the delay.

Other rumors suggest that the rapper is working on collaborations with various artists. Eminem is allegedly working with Snoop Dogg, Jay Z, Dr. Dre and Kendrick Lamar for "Root."

Singer/songwriter Skylar Grey has also been rumored to be working with Eminem. The artists have joined forces in past Eminem albums so it's no surprise for them to collaborate on the rapper's upcoming album.

In an interview with The Oakland Press, Grey revealed, "Ever since we started working together we just really enjoyed it, so we just kept doing it. He's my favorite person to work with to date. I can't put my finger on why, I just really enjoy the process of writing and working with him."

If the rumors are true, Eminem will drop the album before the year ends.

In the past few months, there have been various rumors about the delay. Previous reports implied that "The Real Slim Shady" rapper lacked inspiration. Many even believed that the rapper was going to move to England to seek inspiration and finish the album.

In addition, there have been news outlets claiming that the rapper was busy with other projects. Since he has been writing original soundtracks for multiple movies, he reportedly hasn't found the time to complete his own album. Though the rumors have been piling up, the rap legend has yet to comment on the speculations.
