'Fallout 4' DLC news and updates: 'Nuka World' bigger than 'Far Harbor?'
The upcoming and reportedly last expansion pack of the "Fallout 4" titled "Nuka-World" is slated to arrive on console platforms and PC at the end of this month. The "Nuka-World" downloadable content (DLC) allegedly has a file size larger than "Far Harbor," the DLC released by Bethesda this May.
According to a Steam Database entry, the DLC title for the PC version has a file size of about 3.6 GB. "Far Harbor's" content size was about 2.7 GB.
As teased in countless reports in various online media outfits about the expansion, "Nuka-World's" post-apocalyptic setting features an abandoned amusement park which somewhat looks like a re-imagined Chernobyl-themed version of Disneyland.
"Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with an open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. Nuka-World features new quests, Raiders, weapons, creatures, and more. Enjoy the ride!" the official description reads, as quoted directly from Bethesda.
Also, a new gameplay trailer has been released to give fans a glimpse of the role-playing game's DLC offering. Apart from being able to explore the creepy zones and interacting with uninviting creatures lurking around the Nuka-themed entertainment park, players are also allowed to lead the Raider gang and use underlings to terrorize settlements.
Meanwhile, Game Rant reported that work on the game's PlayStation 4 mod support is still in progress. The feature was supposedly added in June but technical issues forced the delay.
To enjoy "Nuka-World," interested gamers can purchase it as a stand-alone content for $19.99. For season pass owners, the title is the sixth and final expansion in the fourth iteration of the "Fallout" franchise. The Season Pass costs a bundled price of $50 for all DLC packs including all previously released expansion titles such as "Automatron", "Wasteland Workshop", "Far Harbor", "Contraptions Workshop," and "Vault-Tec Workshop".
