Video game developer Square Enix recently revealed the latest teaser for the upcoming open world action role-playing video game "Final Fantasy XV."

At the EGX event in Birmingham, the creators revealed the Xbox One version of the game. Sources say that the first 40 minutes of the forthcoming game was livestreamed at the event. EGX is UK's biggest games event. This year, the convention was held at The NEC from Sept. 22 to 25.

The panel revealed the characters involved in the upcoming installment of the franchise and their skillsets. Noctis Caelum is the main character of the game, while three of his friends — Ignis Scientia, Gladiolus Amicitia, and Prompto Argentum — are the supporting characters.

"Final Fantasy XV" picks up where the prequel movie "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" left off. Toward the end of the film, viewers were able to see the four heroes venture on a quest to Altissia. The characters will aim to reclaim the kingdom of Lucius and its magical crystal. Along the way to their kingdom, the heroes will come across bizarre creatures, diverse cultures, and breathtaking sceneries.

Unlike the previous titles in the franchise, gamers will be able to craft magic in "Final Fantasy XV" and use it in battle. Game director Hajime Tabata revealed at PAX West, which was held last Sept. 2-5, that the development team strived to create a modernized "Final Fantasy" game. The forthcoming title will feature a brand new game design, which is quite different from what long-time fans of the franchise are used to.

Gamers had the chance to immerse themselves into the world of the fifteenth installment. A player who had the opportunity to play the game at the event said that the gameplay of the forthcoming title was more than what he had expected.

"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Nov. 29 for PlayStation 4 consoles and Xbox One consoles.
