Many fans were disappointed when Google decided to skip the announcement of the Nexus 2016 during the recently concluded Google I/O developers' conference. However, some people are still pretty positive that the American Internet search engine will release the flagship smartphone anytime soon. The current $80 price cut on the Nexus 6P at eBay is also a good indication that a new model will arrive.

The Nexus 6P, which was manufactured together by Huawei and Google, is currently being priced at $419.99 from its original SRP of $499 when it hits the market. According to Phone Arena, tech observers consider the recent price cut to be a good deal for consumers who are looking for a new smartphone. According to the publication, the discount only applies to the 32 GB variant of the device with a Graphite finish. Best Buy assured customers who are interested in buying the smartphone that it will work with all the leading networks within and outside the US.

The Nexus 6P came out to the market with a Snapdragon 810, along with 3GB of RAM. Many users considered its large 5.7-inch display as one of the factors why they decided to get the device. It also has a great screen technology system with its 1440 x 2560 Quad HD display resolution.

Meanwhile, many fans are hoping that Google will make sure that the new Nexus 2016 will carry better specifications inside and outside compared to the current Nexus 6P. There are reports suggesting that the company tapped HTC this time to manufacture the upcoming handset.

There are rumors saying that the new smartphone will run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, along with 4 GB of RAM. There are speculations circulating all over the Internet that the device will finally be launched in August 2016. However, Samsung has yet to confirm these reports. Until the company releases an official statement with regard to the upcoming smartphone, all reports must be taken with a grain of salt.
