GoPro has been quiet about their next flagship camera, the GoPro Hero 5. But that doesn't stop fans from getting new information about it from leaks and rumors.

According to reports, the GoPro Hero 5 is predicted to be launched on Sept. 19. It's said to come out alongside the company's Karma Drone, which is already confirmed to be available on the said date. However, the release date of the new generation action camera is not official yet, so fans should take the news with a pinch of salt.

There are also rumors swirling around, saying that the action camera will be sold as a bundle with the Karma Drone. If so, it's expected to be tagged with a hefty price. It could cause some trouble with the consumers.

As for the specs and features, reports mentioned that the successor of the GoPro Hero 4 would have better connectivity. Instead of incorporating a Wi-Fi chip, the device will be packed with a Bluetooth 4.0 connection for wireless transfers.

This change also helps in improving the battery life as Bluetooth uses up less power. The device is also said to carry 1,220 mAh battery.

Users will be able to connect their camera with their smartphone and save their photos onto the cloud, which is rumored to be offered by the company soon. Aside from that, the GoPro Hero 5 will allegedly be capable of shooting an 8K (7680 x 4320) video at 60 fps. It's also expected to be waterproof to a depth of 60 meters.

The gadget is also said to be the most lightweight among all the models. It's speculated to be equipped with Snapdragon 800 processor with a multisensor Light camera. A GPS is expected to be used in it as well. Leaks also suggest that the upcoming device will feature limited voice commands. It will respond with GoPro Turn On and GoPro Off.

The GoPro Hero 5 is predicted to cost somewhere between $450 and $550. Interested consumers will have to stay tuned for more updates.
