The Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) gets madder in the upcoming episode of Fox's dark action drama "Gotham" season 3.

Titled "Mad City: Follow the White Rabbit," next week's episode will see the villainous Mad Hatter strike again and target more innocent lives. Meanwhile, the show's unlikely partnership between villains Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) and Penguin (Robin Taylor) will lead to more chaos. To give viewers an idea of what's in store for episode 6, the official synopsis reads:

"Mad Hatter sets his eyes on his next victims, forcing Jim Gordon to make some tough decisions. Meanwhile, Penguin and Nygma's relationship evolves, and a familiar face comes back into Nygma's life."

In this week's episode titled "Mad City: Anything for You," Gotham was threatened by several sinister forces including Penguin and the Red Hood Gang, leaving the crime-ridden metropolis in more dire straits than ever before. Aside from political mayhem, Gotham is currently bogged down by rogue human experiment subjects who threaten to ruin Gotham for good. The episode wrapped up with Lucius (Chris Chalk) and Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) getting trapped in Arkham because of Nygma's deadly puzzles.

Comicbook.com recently caught up with Chalk, and he talked about the bad-blood between his character and Nygma a.k.a. Riddler. According to the actor, Lucius and Nyga are indeed "arch nemeses" and their rift will escalate even further.

"They don't like each other," he told the media outlet. "I don't think Nygma doesn't like Lucius as much as Lucius doesn't like Nygma, but we will get to investigate how those two continue to hurt the other one. And their hurt is an intellectual hurt—well, at least Lucius' is. Lucius isn't going to fight you or kill you, but he is going to dig into your mind."

The third season of "Gotham" airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
