Fans of the "Grand Theft Auto" series are not giving up just yet as they continue to look out for the sixth installment of the game.

Apparently, until now, there is still no information yet on when the game may possibly hit store shelves. But according to some reports, it may be coming a few years from now. GTA 6 Grand Theft Auto website reported that developer Rockstar Games may be following a pattern for the release of "GTA 6."

"Grand Theft Auto 4" was released back in 2008. Five years after, they released its sequel, "Grand Theft Auto 5." Fans are now assuming that the next one may be out five years after as well, which means that "GTA 6" could be out by 2018. It may also be as far as year 2020 if the entire release date history of the franchise will be followed. But with Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 video game conference coming up, there's a chance that the most-awaited sequel could be making an appearance next month.

As detailed in a report by Neurogadget, there are rumors going around suggesting that Rockstar games will announce "GTA 6" along with "Red Redemption 2" during the E3 2016 event, which will be held this coming June 14 to 16 in Los Angeles, California. This report is also based on the information from Game Spot which stated that the video game studio is "hard at work" on new games and they will be unveiling it to the public soon.

"Rockstar Games is of course hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon," Take-Two Interactive, the parent company, said during their latest earnings report.

They did not reveal anything further about what games will be announced in the upcoming conference but compared to "GTA 6," the open world, western action-adventure video game "Red Dead Redemption 2" is more likely to appear. None of the details have been confirmed yet so it's best to take these reports with a pinch of salt.
