The fifth season of "Grimm" recently came to a close with an action-packed finale, and season 6 can't come soon enough. Luckily for fans, lead star David Guintoli who plays the role of Nick Burkhardt shared some insights on their future plans for the show.

In an interview last month, Guintoli confirmed the identity of next season's big bad. After Bonaparte's death, the plot will move to a different direction away from Black Claw. This time, the focus will be on the key characters' stories. "Renard is going to be the big bad in Season 6," he said. "We'll focus more on him and his rise to power and what that means. I don't know this for absolute sure, but that's the word on the street."

There are also talks of the show coming to an end after the upcoming season. Late last month, "Grimm" received a trimmed episode order from its usual 22 reduced to 13. This led viewers to speculate that season 6 would be the show's last. Executive producers David Greenwalt and James Kouf admitted that they still don't have any confirmation from the higher ups if the speculations were true. Guintolialso stated that there is a possibility for season 6 to have more than 13 episodes, depending on its performance in terms of ratings. "First off, we don't know the exact episode count for Season 6. We know we have 13 for sure but it could end up being between 15 and 18," the actor said.

As for Eve's character, she showed signs of Juliette returning, and her feelings after being awakened might be further explored next season. "There's part of her that was dead, that she had killed, that they had killed," the EP explained. "Suddenly it was awakened. And because she's a Hexenbiest, it had a super effect. So we'll have to see what happens with the Eve side of her personality and now having all these feelings, which is going to include a lot of guilt. It'll be complex."

As of the moment, the premiere date for "Grimm" season 6 is yet to be announced.
