Sean Renard may have killed the Black Claw leader, thereby saving Nick Burkhardt's life, but it looks like the conflict between the two will stand well into "Grimm" season 6.

It will be remembered that Renard (Sasha Roiz) mercilessly killed Conrad (Shaun Toub) to spare Nick's (David Giuntoli) life. Apparently, it was Diana (Hanna R. Lloyd), Renard and Adalind Schade's (Claire Coffee) daughter, who used a voodoo doll to provoke Renard to kill the Black Claw leader.

Fans thought things will flow smoothly for Nick and Renard from there. Still, the latter's effort will be for naught, as Nick and the rest of the Scooby Gang will not let his betrayal slip away that easily. Hence, fans could expect the sixth installment to feature plenty of tense encounters between Nick and Renard.

However, according to Movie News Guide's report, a member of the Scooby Gang could be jumping ship, bringing along vital secrets that could potentially harm Nick and those close to him. With Renard switching to the dark side in a breeze and another mysterious character possibly betraying Nick, things could be grim for the titular character.

Meanwhile, many are speculating that "Grimm" season 6 will be the series' swan song. It was teased before that season 5's final episode was the "beginning of the end." Thus, fans assumed that the upcoming installment will the last one for the show. Some fans likewise noticed that only 13 episodes were ordered for the police procedural fantasy drama's sixth season, which is fewer than the usual 22-episode order.

In an interview with Oregon Live, NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said while a seventh season is likely, they are still undecided about it since production for "Grimm" season 6 has just started.

"We haven't decided that yet, we've just started production. We've ordered 13 episodes – we may order more," the 56-year-old executive explained.

"Grimm" season 6 is slated to return on Oct. 28 on NBC.
