The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 has already concluded but fans are still waiting for the announcement of the sixth installment in the "Grand Theft Auto" game series. Many have been waiting for it especially after the success of the fifth one.

Fans have been looking forward to "GTA 6" since the release of the fifth game in 2013. Unfortunately, they will have to wait a little longer as it seems like the game will not be appearing anytime this year.

According to reports, the sixth "GTA" game will not be out until 2018. This is in accordance to the pattern that developer Rockstar Games may be following. Neurogadget reported that the studio may have decided to release games with at least a five-year gap instead of releasing every year. The company maintained that they are after developing quality games so they will not be in a rush. This could also be the reason why the game did not make an appearance at E3 2016.

Some are hopeful that even if it was not launched during the video game conference, it will still arrive earlier than 2018, perhaps sometime in 2017. Fans can only hope for the best. As of now, Rockstar Games is focusing on doing some updates for "Grand Theft Auto 5." The game is said to receive a new downloadable content (DLC). There is no official word about it but hearsays point to a DLC called "A Liberty City." Rumors cited that this particular DLC may be featuring "GTA 5's" RAGE engine, which is said to be currently in development.

In addition, the video game company is reportedly busy with other projects like "Grand Theft Auto Online" and the multiplayer aspect of "GTA 5." Reports also noted that the game was previously rumored to have a gameplay setting in Japan. It was later on said to be cancelled.

As of now, none of the details released are confirmed or official. Thus, it's best to take these reports with a grain of salt. Fans will just have to stay tuned as well for more updates on "GTA 6."
