'House of Cards' Season 5 news, spoilers: President Frank Underwood to be ousted?
"House of Cards" Season 5 is reported to feature a whole new bunch of obstacles along the way for the incumbent U.S. President Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey). As he remains focused in his presidential bid for the upcoming U.S. national elections, there will be other people planning to oust him and ruin his political reputation for good.
A report from Christian Today noted that Will Conway (played by Joel Kinnaman) has something nasty in store for President Underwood as he slowly proceeds with this plan to destroy Underwood's political career. The hit Netflix political drama is said to feature a destabilization plot for the president that will greatly affect his campaign for re-election, as well as the legacy that he is going to leave once he steps down.
Kinnaman's character is seen to be a force to reckon with as Frank attempts to win the presidential seat for the second time. His method of sabotaging Frank's presidential bid has yet to be revealed, although the current president is known to always have something up his sleeves for those who will try to challenge him and his political ambitions.
Whether Conway will be outsmarted by Frank or not, there is always other people who can continue the plan to shoot down Frank's ambition. That person can even be the president's wife herself, the First Lady Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright).
Bitbag noted that the female Underwood was first seen to be aiming a seat in the senate, but in a sudden twist of fate, Claire is now eyeing the position of the vice president of the United States. However, her affair with Frank's publicist Tom Yates can be seen as a detriment to her political dreams as his husband may use this against her.
It is not yet known how the husband and wife showdown will turn out in Season 5, but according to Movie New Guide, Claire will be very much willing to dethrone Frank for her own personal gains, even if it means killing her own husband.
