It looks like the coming year will be the time the mobile scene fully embraces curved displays. Just recently, Apple was rumored to make use of such screen. Now, the same buzz surrounds the Huawei P10.

New information from Weibo suggests that the next Huawei flagship will sport a curved dual-edge display, which many premium devices already have.

Best known for making use of such feature is Samsung, which is actually looking to make the edge display its own identity. However, that will be a challenge now with the next iPhone reportedly using the same and now, Huawei P10.

However, a curved display is not entirely new to Huawei as it already released a device with the said feature — the Huawei Mate 9.

Another detail about the display of the Huawei P10 is that it will be 5.5-inch in size, much bigger than its predecessor's 5.2-inch screen. The resolution will be quad high-definition (QHD).

Apart from a curved dual-edge display, the device is still expected to have a version with flat screen.

The same Weibo tipster claims that Huawei P10 is poised to be the first to offer wireless charging. This would mean that the flagship might not don an all-metal unibody.

Huawei is known for such design and as GSM Arena points out, using one will mean having to lose the other so it looks like an all-metal unibody will not be a thing in the Huawei P10.

More on the design department, it is being reported that the Huawei P10 will have a physical button on which a fingerprint sensor will be embedded.

This is a big change from its predecessor, the P9, which did not have the said home button and had the fingerprint scanner mounted on the back.

From the looks of it, Huawei is taking some big design risks in the P10, at least if the information from the Weibo tipster is anything to go by.
