iPad Air 3 release date, news, specs rumors: Apple to halt production of the device
As of now, Apple users who are waiting for the release of the iPad Air 3 are expecting it to come this Oct. 27, but recent reports are speculating that Apple may end the production of the device altogether.
Rumors are suggesting that Apple has decided to go on a different direction because of the release of the iPad Pro 9.7. People speculate that Apple will be sticking to the Pro line instead of continuing the iPad Air series. It will only be a matter of time until people will actually get their hands on the next iPad air.
Some are guessing that it could be a marketing strategy by Apple to wait for the perfect time to release the device. As of now, they are seeing a drop of sales with their tablets, so the next device really has to be an impressive one to get Apple better sales.
Even if rumors of the iPad Air 3's cancellation are in the air, a lot of people are still speculating on the specs that the device will most likely have if ever it's released.
In order to make it sturdier, the iPad Air 3 is said to have an aluminum body — much like the iPhone 6S — and it can come in colors such as gold, silver, or rose gold. This body is also expected to be much lighter and thinner than the devices that came before it.
The tablet will most likely run on the A9 or A9X processor, and it could have a smart connector on its left side so users can plug in a smart keyboard cover. The device could also be compatible with an Apple Pencil.
No official announcements have been made about the iPad Air 3, but fans are still hopeful that it may come out this Oct. 27.
