Worship leaders and musicians of the popular Jesus Culture band will release a more personal unplugged version of their ninth album "Let It Echo" on June 17.

The upcoming album "Let it Echo Unplugged" is a collection of acoustic recordings from their highly acclaimed album released in January. It features 12 original songs featuring lead singers Kim Walker-Smith, Chris Quilala, and Bryan & Katie Torwalt.

"I think all of these songs on this album are a reflection of that journey that we've all been on this last year and a half," Walker-Smith told Christian Post.

The singer noted that the past year and a half "was probably one of the hardest we ever experienced as a Jesus Culture family."

In December 2014, Quilala and his wife, Alyssa, suffered the loss of their unborn baby. Alyssa took to Instagram to share their tragedy.

"My baby boy was born 3 weeks after their baby [was lost] and it was such a mixture of emotions and feelings," Walker-Smith shared.

She added that it was a challenge to witness her friends' loss while she battled with her own emotions of "fears and anxieties and upset and everything that I was facing."

The mother of two admitted that she also went through a season when she struggled with the need to be perfect before allowing God to come close to her, until she realized that God doesn't mind her imperfections and only want to be invited in her life and her struggles.

Jesus Culture has come a long way, Walker-Smith believes as she claimed that their latest album is "coming from some deep places and it's all original." She also feels it's their best songwriting yet.

The album debuted on four Billboard charts such as the Top Albums (Top 20), Digital Albums (Top 12), Christian Albums (No.2) and the Top 200 charts (Top 40). The album's lead single "Fierce" is also featured in the Top 10 Hot AC radio hit.
