There is still no official word from Valve regarding the new entry to their worldwide hit "Left 4 Dead" franchise. However, nothing can stop the fans from searching for rumors online regarding "Left 4 Dead 3." So far, the rumors suggest that the third installment of the popular video game series will arrive in the markets next year.

The latest scoop about the 2017 release date of "Left 4 Dead 3" came from a statement made by a former Valve employee. According to a report from Express UK, the particular ex-Valve staff is named Minh Le, also known as "Gooseman." He confirmed the long-time speculations that Valve is presently working on a follow-up game project after "Left 4 Dead 2." He added that the game developer company wants to ponder on fresh and exciting ideas that should be included in the upcoming "Left 4 Dead" installment. The company wants to make sure that "Left 4 Dead 3" will contain "new materials" which the long-time players of the "Left 4 Dead" series will find interesting. According to Gooseman, Valve is targeting a 2017 release for their current project.

It is a wise move from Valve to ensure that "Left 4 Dead 3" will be a game that the old-timers will find refreshing and sufficiently thrilling, given that the fans have waited several years since "Left 4 Dead 2" was first released on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The public is expecting a lot from the "Left 4 Dead 3" game features, especially that a lot of innovations have happened in the gaming world since that last "Left 4 Dead" video game. "Left 4 Dead 3" is expected to optimize the features of today's PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Regarding the release date of "Left 4 Dead 3," it is speculated that Valve will unveil their latest project during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California this coming June.

According to a separate report from Express UK, Valve is currently prioritizing to finish "Left 4 Dead 3" over their other anticipated game sequel, "Half Life 3," and the company will be granting the fans' wish by formally announcing the game during the said event. However, Valve has not yet released details regarding their lineup of activities in E3 2016.
