Ever since word got out that Vixen will be part of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2, fans have been wondering who will be portraying the character, as well as how she would figure into the arc.

It has recently been reported that "The Originals" actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers will give life to the role of Vixen. However, unlike the animated series, this Vixen would be a 'mysterious past version' who would be joining the Waverider crew and would go by the name Amaya Jiwe. Apparently, this newest superhero's power would come from the same Tantu Totem as her granddaughter, Mari McCabe. She would also be able to replicate the abilities of animals magically.

The same report from TV Line said that Vixen and the rest of the Legends would run into a familiar face in history – Albert Einstein from the 1940s. The legendary scientist is described by the publication as "a snarky, brusque skirt-chaser" who "proves to be quite a handful" when the Legends try to save him.

Enstarz said that most of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 would be set in the 1940s, which would explain the appearance of Einstein. Aside from Einstein and Vixen, other characters that the Legends would encounter in season 2 include an African-American female soldier with ties to an "elite paramilitary team" and Dr. Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), a potential meta whose grandfather (Captain Steel) hailed from the Greatest Generation.

Speaking to Comic Book Movie, Brandon Routh (Ray) said that season 2 will dial back the time jumps since they are no longer going after Vandal Savage who hops across centuries.

"I think we'll be spending more time in one time period, it'll be about getting the relationships sorted out after the first season," he said.

There is also the possibility that the Justice Society of America will figure much in the second season especially after Hourman/Rex Tyler (Patrick J. Adams) appeared in the season 1 finale. According to showrunner Marc Guggenheim, comic book fans everywhere know that "the Justice Society is really the precursor to the Justice League, so it's a pretty big move in our DC universe here on TV."

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will be back on The CW on Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. ET.
