MacBook Air 2016 release date, specs news: To feature 5K display system?
Many Apple fans are still not sure whether the Cupertino-based company will continue to manufacture another MacBook Air device. Rumor has it that the American tech giant will stop producing MacBook Air laptops in the future and replace them with MacBook Pro as Apple's flagship portable computers.
Apple is said to be taking a different direction as they plan to cancel the MacBook Pro line and focus on the development of their other devices. However, a surprising turn of events has recently happened that gave fans of the MacBook Air series hope that another model will come out anytime soon. Apparently, the company is giving away discounts on the current 13-inch MacBook Air laptop.
According to reports, the 13-inch laptop has been spotted on eBay with a huge discount. Anybody can now get the MacBook Air laptop, which had an original price of $1099, at $800. It is a huge price cut that would give buyers $300 worth of savings. What's interesting is that, the website indicates that the promotion will continue until supplies last.
There are speculations suggesting that the current price cut signals the arrival of the new MacBook Air model. However, this has yet to be confirmed by the company, which has continued to stay quiet with regard to the MacBook Air rumors.
Meanwhile, new reports have emerged that Apple announces its plan to discontinue its Thunderbolt Display system that has been the bread and butter of many of their products.
There are rumors suggesting that the company is developing a 5K display technology, which will be used on their future releases including the rumored MacBook Air. According to reports, the 5K display system will feature a resolution of 5120 x 2880 pixels.
Nonetheless, these reports have yet to be confirmed by Apple.
