Microsoft Surface Phone has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now. It has become a favorite subject amongst tech freaks all over the Internet. According to the latest reports, the first non-Lumia smartphone by the American software giant is expected to arrive during spring 2017.

Previous reports suggested that the new Microsoft flagship smartphone will come out later this year; however, the company has reportedly decided to delay the release in order to buy more time to make sure they meet the expectations of the fans. Apparently, Microsoft wants to produce a flagship smartphone that will captivate the whole mobile community, something the Lumia failed to do so during its time.

The company intends to make some noise once their upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone hits the market. They plan to combine high-end specifications on the new device headed by the Snapdragon 830 processor from Qualcomm. Tech observers see this as one of the reasons for the delay of the release since the powerful processor will not come out in the market until next year.

If rumors prove to be true, aside from a powerful process the device will also run with 8 GB of RAM, which will make the smartphone as powerful as some of the laptops in the market. The Microsoft Surface Phone is also expected to be the first handset to run on a 10nm mobile processor. Aside from its power, the device will also carry a 500 GB internal storage capacity.

Nonetheless, less powerful versions of the smartphone will also be available. According to reports, there will be a 4 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage variant and the other model has a 6 of GB RAM, along with 64 GB of storage.

For now, Microsoft has decided to stay mum with regard to its development and release date. However, fans expect the company to provide solid details anytime soon.
