Microsoft's rumored Surface Pro 5 has been a hot topic in the rumor mill for some time already. But until now, there are still no definite answers to the many questions regarding it particularly about its release date.

Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 can cost the same as the Surface Pro 4 | Microsoft

According to a report by Inquisitr, the only information available for the device are rumors and speculations. None are official and reports vary. Nevertheless, tech junkies continue to scout for information regarding the Surface Pro 5 and while some say that it will be coming out next month, others say that it won't be able to make it out early.

The Country Caller detailed that there's a possibility that the device will be delayed in arriving if the timeline for Intel's 7th Gen processors is to be followed. Microsoft's next laptop-tablet hybrid product is expected to be premium. This means that the company is likely to obtain a much more powerful and power efficient solution for their device and they can get it through Intel's next generation chip known as Kaby Lake.

The chip is expected to bring in improvements to the Surface Pro 5, surpassing the Skylake-powered Surface Pro 4. However, there is no word yet on when it will be making its way out to the market, which may be also the reason why the release date of the laptop-tablet hybrid is still unknown. Microsoft may be adjusting their schedule in order to align with the Kaby Lake's release. If the device can't make it this year, it may come out in 2017.

Moreover, another report cited the price tag of the Surface Pro 5. It's expected to cost around the same price of the Surface Pro 4, thus it may be launched with a retail price of $899. It can also shoot up as much as $1,800 for an upgraded version.

Official details will be revealed soon so fans who are looking forward to picking up the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro will have to stay tuned.
