The players of the hit fighting video game "Mortal Kombat X" have been waiting for months for the arrival of the next downloadable content pack (DLC) for the game. The game was released almost a year ago and since then, there have been two additional content packs available. In the past few months, there are rumors that NetherRealm Studios is ready to release the Kombat Pack 3, although as of the moment, there has been no official information regarding the contents or the release date of the next DLC. Nevertheless, it appears that the group behind "Mortal Kombat X" has not yet forgotten about the supposed third content add-on.

There is no clear sign yet that the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 will be released in the coming weeks or months. "Mortal Kombat X" game director Ed Boon has been constantly teasing the fans regarding the exciting new contents for the game, but until now the public has not yet seen the confirmed features of the upcoming DLC. According to Game N Guide, there is still a possibility that Kombat Pack 3 will be released before the year ends. As for the included contents in the game pack, the players can expect additional playable characters and improvements in the gameplay.

The online publication mentioned that Kombat Pack 3 may introduce four more characters in the game's official roster. As seen in the first and second Kombat Pack, NetherRealm has released four additional playable characters pero DLC, Movie News Guide reported. This year, it is likely that Kombat Pack 3 will also have four new characters, namely Noob Saibot, Rain, Baraka, Sindel and Fujin. Each character has their own interesting background story. Baraka is known to be a crossbreed between the Outworld demi citizens and the NetherRealm demons. He is also a known servant of the Great Emperor Shao Kahn.

There is also a chance that Kombat Pack 3 might be introducing additional characters that are outside the "Mortal Kombat" universe. To note, the previous Kombat Pack characters include Jason Voorhees and Leatherface, who are popular in slasher films. As NetherRealm has remained quiet over the possible contents of the next Kombat Pack, everything is still up in the air.
