'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 3 rumors 2016: The Joker from 'Injustice: Gods Among Us' to be included?

Is the Kombat Pack 3 bringing Joker, as seen here in the "Injustice: Gods Among Us" game, to the world of "Mortal Kombat X"? | Facebook/injusticegame

A Kombat Pack 3 for "Mortal Kombat X" could be released soon given that it is what fans want to see next from the game's creator Ed Boon and developer NetherRealms Studios.

In a poll, Boon asked fans to vote for what they think his team should release next. They had to pick among Kombat Pack 3, a sequel to "Mortal Kombat X" and a sequel to the classic fighting game "Shaolin Monks."

Gamers ultimately, even though only by a whisker, chose Kombat Pack 3, which gathered 44 percent of the votes. Boon definitely did not expect the poll to get the outcome it generated.

"Wow, certainly to my surprise... Kombat Pack 3 wins! To even MORE surprise... MK11 comes in LAST!" Boon tweeted as he shared the shocking poll results.

Up to now, Boon hasn't followed up on his plans after the survey, but fans already have their expectations on "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 3 releasing soon and what it will be like.

There are already rumors on which characters will end up in the DLC. Rumor has it that Kombat Pack 3 will include iconic Batman villain The Joker, who is a key character in "Injustice Gods Among Us," also by NetherRealms.

It will certainly be interesting to see the clown prince of crime get merged into "Mortal Kombat X." His sinister ways and viciousness certainly have a spot in the brutal world of the Kombatants.

After all, it's the same kind of violence that allowed "Friday the 13th" killer Jason Voorhees, who was included in the first Kombat Pack, to blend right in. And since "Mortal Kombat X" has gone over the top on the gruesome kills, The Joker will feel right at home.

"Mortal Kombat" characters expected to be included in Kombat Pack 3 are Sindel, Rain and Baraka, who are in the game's story mode but aren't playable.
