The mole closes in on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and fires up his ultimate plan to break the team in "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8, episode 14, "Under the Siege."

In this episode, the members of the unit will be served up with various problems concocted specifically for them by the infiltrator. For starters, Hetty (Linda Hunt), for some reason, leaves the NCIS team completely.

The others are flustered as to why she is doing this, but it looks like she wants to keep it that way. The promo for "NCIS: LA" season 8, episode 14 shows the NCIS operations manager warning them that the "wolves are here for all of us."

Whether she has a plan up her sleeves or not remains to be seen. Hetty leaving the team and choosing to leave the others without a clue could mean that she herself may have something cooking up that could end this once and for all.

The others also find themselves in serious troubles. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) are also being taken into custody for murder.

Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is being held in "NCIS: LA" season 8, episode 14 after trying to help Granger (Miguel Ferrer) get out of the police clutches, too.

Making things worse, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) was kidnapped by the mole. She just got back to the job after being sidelined due to her life-threatening injuries from a mission in the premiere.

It is unfortunate that she once again faces another dangerous situation that could potentially get her away from the job she loves.

"NCIS: LA" season 8, episode 14 is the second part of the three-episode story arc involving the mole in the team. The previous installment, "Hot Water," saw the team get their first taste of the mole's scheme.

"They find a body on Callen's front lawn. They find a body in Sam's trunk. They go after Kensi. Hetty is getting fired. Characters come back out of the woodwork, there's peril, there's blood," Olsen teased to TVLine of the story. O'Donnell adds, "It is coming to a head. Nothing is as it seems."

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait for an extra week to see all this unfold. "NCIS: LA" season 8, episode 14, "Under the Siege," airs Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
