'NCIS' season 14 spoilers news 2016: Gibbs deals with new roommate, 2 unreceptive newcomers
"NCIS" will be gracious to Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in season 14. Having dealt with a near-death experience and a tough recovery process, things will not be as bad in the new season.
Executive producer Gary Glasberg teased to TVLine that Gibbs has a new roommate—Fornell (Joe Spano), who was shot last season and is in recovery phase.
"Fornell is living with Gibbs as he's recuperating [from his wounds]," Glasberg teased. "Be prepared, because it's some wonderful, light, funny stuff," the EP teased of "NCIS" season 14.
Fornell and Gibbs are good friends and they get along well, but they also know how to get under each other's skin, which should be really fun to see when they share the same flat in the new season.
Another thing that will make Gibbs busy in "NCIS" season 14 is looking for a replacement for Agent Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly) who retired last season.
The search is proving to be difficult for Gibbs, and as per cast member Brian Dietzen, who plays Palmer in the most watched drama, Gibbs has gone through a number of people, but "no one is good enough."
This is where Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) instructor Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) enters the picture. Glasberg teased that she just "shows up and says to Gibbs, 'What the hell is wrong with you?!'"
Gibbs will also have to deal with the arrival of Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) in "NCIS" season 14. He is an agent on the team who has been missing for a long time after he went on his undercover mission.
Nick will arrive with a bad news (as the people he was investigating are now onto him) and with a much different attitude, which will cause him and Gibbs to butt heads in the new season.
"NCIS" season 14 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
