Season 2 of "One Punch Man" might have a later release date than expected because of a complex series plot. Meanwhile, Saitama is anticipated to face a new villain and get tied up in a love triangle in season 2.

"One Punch Man" is a Japanese webcomic which centers on Saitama, the strongest superhero on Earth and his journey to defeat strange monsters appearing and causing chaos. The creator of the series is Yusuke Murata, and there are speculations claiming that an official premiere date is yet to be announced for season 2 because of the series' complex plot

The release of "One Punch Man" season 2 might be pushed back due to the lack of print materials that are needed to produce the second installment. Season 2 was initially expected for a Christmas release this year, but, so far, there is no news regarding the installment's release date.

Meanwhile, a lot of theories for the plot of "One Punch Man" season 2 have been circulating around the series' community. A possible plot that could be adapted, according to Game N Guide, is Saitama facing an attack from the Monster Association led by Psykos.

Based on the manga series, Psykos is a woman with aqua-blue hair who has a meat puppet that looks like a giant slug with a single eye. Her powers are psychokinesis, and as the head of the Monsters Association, it is possible that she will bring a damaging hit to Saitama.

Another possible plot point for "One Punch Man" season 2 is Saitama getting into a love triangle with Tatsumaki and her sister Fubuki, according to Mobipicker. But it seems that this triangle won't really focus on love as the sisters are expected to take advantage of him, which will result in Saitama's heartbreak. After finding out the truth, Saitama will seek revenge over the sisters who will play him.

"One Punch Man" season 2 is expected to debut in 2017.
