'One Punch Man' season 2 release date, spoilers news: Saitama to face old and new foes in October season 2 premiere

The hit anime series "One Punch Man" has captured the interest of several fans across the globe, and as of now, the hype is definitely increasing for the much-awaited second season of the show. Several months after the conclusion of the first season, the rumors are rife that "One Punch Man" Season 2 will be released later this year. In fact, the latest reports suggest that the continuation of Saitama's adventures will arrive next month.

According to the latest rumors, it is possible that the second season of "One Punch Man" will air in the later months of 2016. Specifically, it is highly speculated that Season 2 will be released this October, or right after the ongoing episode reruns of "One Punch Man" Season 1. If the rumors are anything to go by, the present English-dubbed episodes of "One Punch Man" on Toonami will be ending this October, and the fans will be surprised as the all-new episodes will follow right after. If the episode reruns will not be over by next month, then "One Punch Man" Season 2 may arrive sometime in November instead.

Unfortunately, there are other reports suggesting that the second season might not be released this year. If anything, the supposed screening of "One Punch Man" Season 2 this coming Halloween period will be postponed to early 2017, the Inquisitr reported. The public must take note, though, that there is no official announcement yet regarding the premiere of the second season, so these initial reports must be taken with a pinch of salt.

On the other hand, there are speculations that Season 2 will be featuring several villains, and one of them will be Saitama's ally. As reported by iTech Post, the Earth's mightiest superhero will be pitted against multiple opponents in the upcoming chapter. Some of the protagonist's former enemies will make a comeback in Season 2, one of them being Lord Boros, the primary villain of the first season which was successfully defeated during the season's last episode.

Lord Boros will try to exact revenge to Saitama in Season 2, but aside from him, other new characters will try to bring him down as well. At one point, Saitama's partner, Genos, may end up exchanging blows with the hero. Amai Mask is also expected to challenge Saitama in a fight.

Garou, the former apprentice of Bang or Silver Fang, is also poised to become a powerful villain to fight Saitama. It is even speculated that Garou may be able to match the mightiest hero's powerful punch. To make matters worse, Garou is rumored to be the first villain in the series to defeat Saitama as he will be exceeding the latter's power level.
