'Orange is the New Black' season 4 release date, spoilers news: Will the Alex-Piper-Stella love triangle continue?

The fourth season of Netflix's hit comedy-drama "Orange is the New Black" is all set to premiere in June, and fans are ecstatic to know what will happen to the Litchfield ladies. One of the biggest questions viewers have is if Ruby Rose will be back to reprise her role as Stella.

In the previous season, Stella (Ruby Rose) added more color to the story by being romantically involved with Piper (Taylor Schilling). As fans know, Alex (Laura Prepon) and Piper have been in an on-and-off relationship, and Stella entering the picture made things more problematic between them. However, rumor has it that Ruby Rose won't be returning for season 4. The last viewers saw of Stella was when she got sent to max by Piper's bold move, and up to now it remains unclear if she will come back.

Ruby Rose was previously interviewed by Pop Sugar where she seems gave a vague answer with regards to her character's fate in the show. "Well, as it stands right mow, it could go either way," she told Pop Sugar. "You probably know... they're currently filming in New York, and I'm not in New York right at this exact second. So we'll see. It could go either way." Further fueling the rumors that she will not be in season 4 is her absence in the official promo clip. If Stella returns, she is speculated to go after Piper for revenge after what she did to her.

 Meanwhile, Kate Mulgrew teased that the upcoming season will not be something fans would expect. "There's a lot of laughs, but you must buckle your seatbelts, because she takes some very interesting turns," she said. "It gets darker. It gets very dark.​ I think you will be very surprised, I think you will be wholeheartedly engaged, you will be riveted."
